Happy Thanksgiving!

It is that time of year when families across the nation get together.  They gather around a great big table or tables and enjoy a rather large meal. Most gatherings like the are pleasant. While others may have some tension.  No matter the situation we should still have some gratefulness.
So what am I grateful for?
Well I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for the wonderful job I have.  My cat Rose who had been with me for 17 years. My wonderful friends.  I may be living at home with my parents,  but I still have a place to live. Everyday I am blessed with the wonderful presence of my nephew.
I am also thankful for two couples.  My great grandparents. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the love these couples had. I went to the funeral of my great grandma Hebdon. Her love for family is wonderful to hear about.
Most of us tend to forget where we came from. Most of us don't even know who our ancestors are. Some don't even care. Knowing where we came from can help shape us. We can learn to be better people.
So as you gather with loved ones think about the sacrifice that was made for you to be standing here today.

I am a slacker

So I must admit I have been a slacker since my last post. Sorry about that. 😑

I guess I have been busy. This past month in October I was focusing on my trip to Denver to see the Cruxshadows. It was a long drive due to a feature called avoid highways was turned on. Needless to say an 8 hour trip from Utah turned into a 10 hour trip. I was not happy. 

The concert I attended helped me forget all of that. It was a dream of mine to meet one of my favorite bands. This band has helped a lot with my depression so meeting them was awesome! The show was not a disappointment either. It was so cool see to them live. Rogue, the lead singer, was all over the place!

He is interactive with the crowd too! It was a great atmosphere. If I ever get the chance to see them again I will! It was that great. 

Now onto my writing. I had been slacking in that area as well. While I was on my long drive I talked to myself most of the time, to keep me awake and entertained. I pretty much finished the first book of the Blackheart Curse, and almost finished the second one too. Unfortunately I did not record it, but I have a better idea on where I want to go. 

I have been taking a notebook to work with me so I can write on my breaks. This does help with me moving further along. I was just typing up my writing from the notebook before I started this post. 

Since it has been a little while I will post some of it. From this point forward though, there will not be much postings from The Blackheart Curse. I don't want to give too much of the book away. I feel I am nearing the end of book one. (AHHHH!!!) I think I have around ten to fifteen chapters left, maybe less. I will let you know of course when it is finished. Until then happy reading!

Writing, Camping, School update

I have finished editing the children's story that I had written a few years back. I will be posting it, but only for a week. For you fellow blog readers this is a special treat just for you. Any feedback is welcomed. Maybe one day it will be published, but we shall see.
Things have been busy since I last posted. I went camping by myself last weekend, and I loved it. It was so nice to be out in nature. I sat by the lake that was near the campground and is was so peaceful. My main issue was there was far to many people for my liking, so next time I will go to an area where it is not so busy.
Also I will not be returning to school this semester. I couldn't get my Financial Aid and I can't afford the classes, so I guess it was not meant to be. I would really like to get my degree finished so I will not be giving up. Maybe GBC just isn't the place for me. I will be doing some looking around will see what I can find.
The children's story will be posted on My Works page. Remember you only have a week to read it. 

Been a Few Busy Weeks

Sorry that I haven't posted in a few weeks. I have been busy. I have been hiking and I also went to Utah for a weekend. I am going to make up for it though. I am planning something special for all you readers. I will be posting a children's story that I wrote for a creative writing class a few years ago. It will only be up for a short. I don't want to risk someone stealing it and posting it as their own. You know there are those that will do this. I will let you know when it is ready. Can't wait for you to read it!
Also I will be going back to school here soon,  but I will be occupied with that, along with Blizzard releasing an expansion for World of Warcraft (yes I play WOW). It will be fun trying to juggle all of that together while also planning a trip to see my favorite band The Cruxshadows!!!! Woot! I will be seeing them in October. If you haven't heard of them, which will not be surprising. They are a Goth band that does New Wave music, I believe that is what they play. The lead singer comes up with his own lyrics and music. Very rare in this day and age. I will post a link to one of their music videos if you are interested. It is from their most recent album. Enjoy!

A Quick Post

Happy Belated 4th of July

I hope all of you had a wonderful 4th of July and for those in other countries, I hope it was still a great day for you.
Currently I am trying to finish a chapter for the Blackheart Curse. Me thinking oh I don't need to save this, my computer shouldn't restart......😑 Yup lately my computer thinks it needs an update while in sleep mood and all the writing I did, gone! So here I go again. Working a chapter I did have finished and my stupid brain doesn't remember to hit save before calling it a night.

How has things been going?

Well, it has been some time since I have last posted. 😐 Sorry about that. It has been kind of a rough year, but things are looking up. I have gotten a new job and I am enjoying that one a lot. I get to help others which is something I do love doing.
I am also working on going back to college and getting my degree done. It will feel great when that finally happens.
As for writing, I am been working on it. I have made some changes to the lore of the Ethereal in the Blackheart Curse. I will have more on that on a later date. I just thought I would give you some update on how things are going in my life. Not that I know if anyone reads this blog. It is worth a try though.
Anywho, here is to hopefully a more active blog.
